Experience the meditative beauty of minimalism with this landscape piece inspired by Mark Rothko. The gentle gradation of greys in this scene I witnessed shortly after sunrise one autumn morning in Iceland was awe-inspiring and a bit of an otherworldly experience.

The photograph I created creates a serene and contemplative atmosphere; one can lose oneself in its elegance. The soothing monotonic palette and balanced composition bring a sense of calm.

It is a silent horizon broken up with a black line formed by black sand.

I lost myself in the vastness of this scene, where the horizon stretched endlessly into the unknown. I only had this view for a couple of seconds before the sun started rising to the right, the east.

The work's muted grey tones and minimalist composition created a sense of mystery and forced introspection. I invite you to allow your gaze to wander across the silent expanse as you find inspiration in the infinite possibilities beyond the edge of perception.

Only 100 prints in various sizes and formats from limited editions will be made. So the edition size of the work is 100 prints + 5  AP (‘épreuve d'artiste’) +  2 TP (trial prints) to check colour, print quality and how ink takes to the chosen material.
